Real Green Weddings

Justin and Sarah’s wedding and reception were held at Justin’s aunt and uncle’s home in Austin, TX. The Watsons generously offered their home for the celebration and their décor fit the theme and feel of the wedding perfectly. “Their house is full of crazy cool retro-mod furniture that made an excellent backdrop for the wedding.”

The couple rented a “green outhouse” for their wedding guests to use through Austin Outhouse. These green portable toilets break down waste using microbes instead of harsh chemicals, making them environmentally friendly.

Since the wedding was held outdoors and in the afternoon, it required little electricity. Once evening fell, the backyard was lit mostly with soy candles.
