GBG’s CEO, Kate L. Harrison, has a JD in Environmental Law and a Master's from Yale in Environmental Policy. She planned her own green wedding in 2007 and wrote the best selling green wedding book The Green Bride Guide: How to Plan an Earth-Friendly Wedding on Any Budget (Sourcebooks, 2008). In 2009, she founded www.greenbrideguide.com to help couples use their weddings to promote social and environmental change and  support the local green economy.

Stephanie E. Nash, GBG's Content Director, graduated from Fairfield University with a Communications/English degree. After working as a copywriter for a marketing sales company and fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Stephanie went back to school to earn her teaching degree for high school English. She taught for seven years in the CT high school system, where she sharpened her copyediting skills to a fine-tipped point. In 2009, Stephanie became a freelance writer for websites and online magazines. Working at the GBG has allowed her to combine her love of words with her passion for environmental causes. She lives at home in Connecticut with her husband, two children, and far too many pets.

David Streever, GBG's Director of Technical Operations, joined the team in late 2009 to take the reigns of the company's ever-growing technical infrastructure. David began building websites in the early 1990s, in the days of Geocities and the "blink" tag, and has always focused on open-source and standards-based development. In the last decade, David was the senior web developer for a marketing firm, worked on Madison Avenue, and ran a successful personal practice developing websites for scores of non-profits and community groups, including the New Haven Public School System and Yale University. His passion is helping  organizations reach new audiences and fulfill their missions online. David is also an active volunteer and community organizer who sits on both the Elm City Cycling and Urban Resources Initiative Boards, and chairs the Democratic Ward Committee for his neighborhood. He gave up his car in 2004 and commutes to work on his bicycle.

Samantha Grasso has a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from the University of Connecticut, and is responsible for Business Development and Partnerships at the GBG. She began at the company as a writing intern, and fell in love with the idea of using business as a way to spread awareness about how products and practices can help keep people and the planet healthy. Before coming to the GBG, Samantha worked with E Magazine, facilitated aquatic restoration projects for the Westchester County Department of Environmental Planning in New York, and taught trail building and conservation ethics to student groups with the Student Conservation Association. The Green Bride Guide has been the perfect place to combine her background in conservation with her interests in writing and environmental education. The change that people can generate when they believe wholly in what they are doing continues to amaze her every day.
